Travel instructions

Micro Array Department of the Swammerdam Institute for Life Sciences is located at the Science Park Amsterdam (Wetenschap & Technologie Centrum Watergraafsmeer campus (WTCW) in the eastern part of Amsterdam.

Public transport

From Amsterdam-Amstel railway station or Muiderpoort station: take bus 40 to Science Park. Enter the SILS buildings on your right through the gate.

Car

All motorways to Amsterdam lead to the ring road "Ring"(A10).

  • From Utrecht/Den Haag /Schiphol/Haarlem or Zaandam, join the Ring in the direction of Amersfoort.
  • From Amersfoort, join the Ring (A10) in the direction of Utrecht/Den Haag.
  • Exit the Ring (A10) at exit "S113/Watergraafsmeer" and head for "Science Park". Turn right at the first crossing (Middenweg/Kruislaan) and drive about 1 km along Kruislaan to WTCW. Enter gate at the right for Kruislaan 318.

Taxi

There are taxi stops near all railway stations as well as the Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. From Central Station, it takes about 15 minutes to get to WTCW by taxi. From the airport, it takes about 25 minutes, cost about 35 Euro.

Plane

At Amsterdam Airport (Schiphol) you can rent a car to get to WTCW There is also a train service to Amsterdam Amstel Station. From there, follow the instructions under "Public transport"

The red arrow indicates where the pubic transport stops. Across the street you will see the main entrance. The yellow arrow is the entrance of building I.
